Tips & Help for a problem with earrings and loose rings
We would like to share some tips we have come across .
Tip : 1. Jewelry Cleaning :
Sterling silver jewelry use Baking Soda. Barely dampen the piece of jewelry with water ( the dryer the better ). Hold in the palm of your hand, pour a generous amount of baking soda over jewelry and rub with your finger tips. Continue until tarnish is gone. Rinse in cool water and dry. Credit for this tip goes to a jewelry maker we knew in Tucson. Thank You Karen !
Gold jewelry use white tooth paste . Put on an old toothbrush , dampen and scrub. Rinse in cool water. It will be bright and shiny just like new.
Tip: 3 Caroline also shared a tip with me after using L'Protect on her earrings, it is as follows: Click here for L'Protect
One more thing. I had to switch to rubber backs totally. I couldn't get enough L'Protect on the metal backs to make the itching go away, so tell people to try the rubber backs. My posts are fine, though. I even fell asleep with them in and my ears are still fine! thanks
We are always happy to get new helpful hint and tips.

Ring Re-Sizers
Here is what a customer have to say about our re-resizers:
|
|
See information for these ring guards below. |
The official name for these helpful littles items are ring guards. We like to call them ring re-sizers. The ring guard tightens loose rings, preventing loss without resizing. Ring guards clamp onto the ring's shank and tightened with a pair of need nose pliers. They allow the ring to expand over the knuckle and fit snugly on the finger. They are very comfortable, you can't even tell they are there.
| To determine the size needed, measure the bottom width of the ring shank. (the ring band at the bottom of the ring) |
| Small size fits 2.5mm shanks |
| Medium size fits 2.75mm to 5mm shanks |
| Large size fits 5mm to 6mm shanks |
| They come in : |
| 14kt Yellow Gold ( small only ). *YG3* |
| 14kt Yellow Gold-filled ( small, medium & large.) * GF * |
| 14kt White gold-filled ( small & medium ) * WGF * |
| Gold-Filled - items are made by combining a layer or layers of gold alloy to a base metal (usually brass), then rolling or drawing the metal to the desired thickness and shape. It has a long life and can be worn by most people without reactions or difficulties. |
| The price of gold has raised so much that I have to raise my price. The price I have to
pay now for the 14kt yellow gold ring guard is $15.37, that is what I am going to charge you. Sorry I can't charge
you less but I will have to stop carry them if I do. I will keep the others at the same price as long as I can.

Rosa,
I received the ring guards today. Thank you so much!
My engagement ring is a full size too big. To my horror, I lost it (today!!), prior to opening your package. After
an hour of searching, I discovered my ring had fallen off - into the kitchen trash can!
Fortunately, I found the ring and now am wearing it safely with my new ring guard (Nylon ring sizer). My
fiancé never needs to know about this little incident...
Thank you again for offering such a great solution.

I found some nylon ring sizers. They are not as comfortable as the metal ones above but they are easy to put on and you can change them from one ring to the next. |
